Marine Fire System Services: Comprehensive Protection for Your Vessel
USCG & NFPA 302 Certified
Engine room fires move fast. Your suppression system needs to be flawless.
Marine fire suppression systems fail because they're neglected. Corrosion, discharged cylinders, and outdated components go unnoticed until it's too late. NFPA 302 and USCG regulations require annual inspections and 6-year system maintenance. We handle it all—Fireboy, Sea-Fire, Kidde systems, CO₂, clean agent, and engine room shutdowns. Your vessel's safety depends on it.

Why Marine Fire Suppression Systems Fail
The marine environment is brutal on fire suppression equipment. Saltwater corrosion, temperature swings, humidity, and neglect create the perfect storm for system failures. Here's what we see, and how to prevent it.
Common System Failures
Saltwater Corrosion
Cylinders exposed to marine spray develop internal and external corrosion. Pitting weakens the pressure vessel, causing it to fail hydrostatic testing. System cannot be recharged and must be replaced.
Undetected Discharge or Low Pressure
A slow leak or accidental discharge goes unnoticed. The system looks intact but contains insufficient agent to suppress a real fire. Annual pressure checks catch this before it's too late.
Degraded Hoses, Tubing & Detectors
UV exposure, salt spray, and age crack hoses and corrode fittings. Heat detectors fail silently. System activates but can't deliver agent where it's needed, or doesn't activate at all.
Engine Shutdown Solenoid Failure
When fire is detected, the solenoid must shut down the engine immediately to allow suppression agent to work. A failed solenoid means the engine keeps burning fuel, overwhelms the suppression agent, and fire spreads.
What's at Stake
USCG Inspection Failure
Vessels undergoing USCG inspection must demonstrate compliant fire suppression systems. Failed inspection = vessel can be detained, cited, or prohibited from operating until corrected.
Insurance Denial
Insurance policies require proof of annual maintenance and certification. If your system fails and you can't prove compliance, the insurance company denies your claim. You cover the loss yourself.
Loss of Life & Property
An engine room fire at sea with a non-functional suppression system is catastrophic. The fire spreads rapidly in confined spaces. Crew safety is compromised. Vessel can be a total loss. No insurance, no repair—everything goes down with the ship.
Legal Liability
If a fire occurs and investigation shows the suppression system was not maintained per NFPA 302, vessel owners face negligence liability. Personal injury lawsuits, regulatory fines, and criminal liability are possible.
NFPA 302 and USCG regulations require annual inspections and 6-year system maintenance for a reason. Engine room fires are rare—but when they happen, seconds count. Your suppression system must be flawless. We ensure it is.
Why Serviced Fire Equipment Is Your Marine Fire Partner
We're not a general fire equipment shop. We specialize in marine systems and understand the unique demands of vessel fire safety.
Marine System Specialists
We service Fireboy, Sea-Fire, and Kidde engine room suppression systems—the industry standard. We understand CO₂ and clean agent systems, engine shutdown solenoids, heat detectors, and the NFPA 302 requirements that govern them. Not a guessing game.
USCG & NFPA 302 Compliant
We're ABS Marine Fire Suppression approved and licensed by the Florida Fire Marshal (Class 01 & 04). Annual maintenance, hydrostatic testing, and system documentation meet all USCG and NFPA 302 standards. Your vessel passes inspection.
Fast Turnaround
Most annual maintenance completes same day. Hydrostatic testing happens on-site—no shipping cylinders to out-of-state facilities. Your system is back in service quickly, minimizing downtime.
Our Marine Fire System Services
Annual Inspections & Maintenance
Complete system inspection per NFPA 302. We verify cylinder pressure, test heat detectors, inspect hoses and tubing, check engine shutdown solenoid operation, and ensure all components function. Service tag documents compliance.
CO₂ & Clean Agent Recharge
If your system has been discharged (in training or actual use), we recharge with the correct agent and pressure. Work completes quickly so your vessel returns to full protection.
Heat Detector & Solenoid Testing
We test fire detection systems to ensure they trigger at the correct temperature, and verify the engine shutdown solenoid opens and closes properly. Silent failures are caught before they cost you.
DOT Hydrostatic Testing
Pressure cylinders require hydrostatic testing at regular intervals. We perform DOT-certified testing on-site. The cylinder is pressurized, expansion is measured, and integrity is verified. Results are documented and stamped.
System Repairs & Part Replacement
Damaged hoses, failed solenoids, corroded fittings, or detector issues? We repair or replace components to get your system back to spec.
Compliance Documentation
Every service generates complete documentation. Records show inspection date, next due date, technician name, and findings. Ready for USCG or insurance audit.
Your Vessel Depends on It
Marine fire safety isn't an option—it's a requirement. NFPA 302, USCG regulations, and your insurance all demand it. We've been serving Florida's marine community since 1999. We know the systems, we know the requirements, and we know what happens when they fail. Let us keep your vessel safe. (727) 620-3473 to schedule annual maintenance or discuss your system.
